Harrisonburg 360: Real people. Real stories. One community.

“[The] moment that really stood out to me was … having that moment with another human where you just, it’s like, ‘I see you. I hear you. I understand you.’”
— Corinne Martin, ENG 360 student and Harrisonburg 360 podcast producer

A podcast project developed by English majors enrolled in ENG 360: Immigrant Narratives, Harrisonburg 360 sets out to connect the stories of Harrisonburg immigrants past and present to a wider audience both on and off campus. Students conducted research in the oral history collections at JMU’s Special Collections, trained for and conducted interviews with local immigrants, and learned the process of recording, editing, and producing a podcast.
